How to care for your new tropical:

  • Ardisia Humilis

    Place in medium to bright light. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. This is a slow grower, but can produce small flowers in the right light.

  • Caladium

    Place in bright, indirect light. Morning sun is okay, but midday sun will cause leaf burn. Keep soil moist but not soggy. Keep away from A/C units—these plants love heat and humidity!

  • Coffea Arabica

    AKA Coffee Plant. Prefers bright environments. Direct sunlight is ideal in weaker latitudes. Require regular and ample waterings. Keep soil moist, but not waterlogged. Do not allow soil to dry out completely between waterings.

  • Crotons

    Place in a light shaded, to bright environment. Avoid direct sunlight. Water thoroughly, and discard excess water. Do not let dry out completely.

  • Dieffenbachia

    AKA Dumb Cane. Place in bright to moderate light environment. Filtered light is preferred to avoid burning leaves. Water thoroughly from the base of the plant. Wait until top 2 inches of soil is dry before watering.

  • Dracaena

    Place in a light shaded, to bright environment. Avoid direct sunlight. Water thoroughly, and discard excess water. Do not let dry out completely.

  • Foliage

    Place in a light shaded, to bright environment. Avoid direct sunlight. Water plant regularly every 5-10 days. Drain well. Pet friendly.

  • Hypoestes Phyllostachya

    AKA Polka Dot Plant. Place in a light shaded, to bright environment. NO direct sunlight. Leaves are sensitive to sunlight and will burn. Water thoroughly, discard excess water. Pet friendly.

  • Maranta Leuconeura

    AKA Prayer Plant. Place in bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves. Tolerant in low light environments. Water frequently, and do not let soil dry out completely between waterings. Fun fact: the leaves on these plants move throughout the day to follow the light.

  • Monstera Deliciosa

    Thrives in bright indirect light. Good for beginners. Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.

  • Nephthytis

    AKA Arrowhead or Elephant Ear. Thrives in bright light environments. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent burnt leaves. Water until soil is damp. Wait for top of soil to dry out before watering again.

  • Peperomia

    Prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Good for beginners. Water plant thoroughly. Allow top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out completely between waterings. Pet friendly.

  • Pothos

    Great for beginners. Prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Can thrive in low light environments as well. Water thoroughly. Allow soil to dry out between waterings.

  • Schefferla

    AKA Umbrella Plant. Good for beginners. Prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Do not soak the soil. Allow soil to dry out between waterings.

  • Snake Plant

    Prefer bright, indirect light but can grow in low light conditions. Do not water too often. Let soil dry out between waterings.

  • Zamioculcas Zamiifolia

    Better known as a ZZ plant. Great for beginners. Prefer medium to bright indirect light. Can tolerate low light environments too. Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Water more often in brighter light and less often in low light rooms.
